Plan your Bank Holiday weekend in Connaught Village

Looking for things to do over the bank holiday weekend? Look no further – from horse riding in Hyde Park, to alfresco brunching, exploring galleries and chocolate tasting, our weekend guide has options for everyone.

Try Something New: Horse Riding @ Hyde Park Stables

Hyde Park Riding Stables is one of the last standing mews with horses in Central London. Available for bookings from 9am to 3pm 7 days a week, the stables offer a unique horse riding experience for adults and children all year round and welcome visitors with no previous horse riding experience. All of the horses and ponies are chosen for their safe temperament, so riders of all abilities can have a great time. What better way to explore London than by horseback. Prices start from £115.

Dine Alfresco @ Abasto

Abasto is one of our favorite spots for truly delicious freshly baked pastries, cakes, fresh salads, sandwiches, coffee and juices. This Argentinian Cafe and Food Deli will become your new go-to spot. Be sure to try the beef empanadas or Milanesa Sandwich! With temperatures looking to soar over the weekend, make a beeline for their outdoor seating, enjoy mouthwatering food and catch some rays.

Get Creative and Indulge: Chocolate Making @ London Chocolate

London Chocolate is a boutique shop with bean-to-bar factory open for unique chocolate making experiences. It’s the only place in London where you can find chocolate made with exclusively two ingredients – small batch fine flavor cocoa beans and raw cane sugar. They believe that making special chocolate begins with special beans, and have gone to enormous lengths to source the world’s finest cacao and hone the making process to ensure exquisite flavor. Who knew there was so much to learn about chocolate! Want to know more? Send them a message

Get Outside: go for a stroll in Hyde Park

With over 350 acres to explore, Hyde Park is one of the best places to get your trainers on, breath in the fresh air and relax! With ample walking routes around the park, we love to walk around the park to visit the Diana, Princess of Wales Memorial Fountain, admire the views across the lake from a ewaterside café and stop by the Sports Hub to play tennis.

If you’re feeling extra adventurous you could even brave an open water swim in the Serpentine – refreshing but definitely not something for the faint-hearted!

Treat Yourself: with a shopping trip @ Kokoro London

Connaught Village is home to the chicest independent clothing stores. If you love to wear something that’s unique and a little quirky you have to visit KOKORO London. This season you will find all of your last minute summer essentials – bright colors, bold eclectic prints and luxurious materials – what more could we want? Perfect if you have a weekend getaway or just looking for something fun to wear out with the girls. We couldn’t resist buying a pair of vintage cowboy boots with multi-coloured studs.
