Past Event: Shakespeare In The Squares

Set to take centre stage in Connaught Square on Wednesday 4 July, Shakespeare in the Squares is putting on yet another stunning performance. This year’s play of choice will be ‘As You Like It’, Shakespeare’s enchanting compedy of love, desire and mistaken identity which is being set in the late 1960s.

Shakespeare in the Squares is a not-for-profit touring theatre company, putting on special summer performances in various garden squares around London, the practice of which appears to be a nod to Shakespeare’s famous line – ‘all the world’s a stage’ (As You like It).

Already known for her multiple stints as Associate Director at the Lyric Theatre, Park Theatre and Shakespeare’s Globe, this year’s production is directed by the talented LAMDA alumna Tatty Hennessy.

The production team work closely with garden committees and local organisations to create unique community celebrations around each performance. Come along and enjoy a night of spectacular and extraordinary entertainment in the heart of Connaught Village. The Square will be open for picnics from 5:30pm.

Performances run 7pm – 9.30pm with a short interval.
