We celebrated Women in Business with a free panel discussion In Conversation With inspirational women from a variety of skilled and independent business, on Thursday 28 March from 6-8pm.
Hosted by professor and formerly curator of Twentieth Century Dress at the Victoria and Albert Museum, Amy de la Haye, an amazing line up of infamous females in Connaught Village spoke about their area of expertise ranging from fashion and history to property and academia.
The panel talk allowed people to seek advice, ask questions and meet influential female speakers from the world of fashion, history and property.
The evening was held at St John’s Church W2 in Connaught Village, positioned at the heart of the community, known for holding a collection of diverse events.

Professor Amy de la Haye is a curator, academic and award-winning author, known for her book Chanel, the couturiere at work. She is the Rootstein Hopkins Chair of Dress History & Curatorship at London College of Fashion and teaches on the MA Fashion Curation course.
Pandora Sykes, journalist and co-host of ‘The High Low’ podcast. Currently a Contributing Editor and digital columnist at ELLE magazine, she has written for titles including Marie Claire, Vogue.co.uk, Red, MATCHESFASHION.COM and i-D.
Rosemarie Jones, Deputy Surveyor at Church Commissioners for England. Rosemarie is responsible for the asset management of the directly held residential and commercial portfolios of the Church Commissioners.
Rachel Kolsky, a prize-winning Blue Badge Guide who worked for over 25 years as a professional researcher. Her inquisitive nature soon led her to explore London both east and west, always on the look-out for those buildings and stories that would otherwise remain undiscovered.
Chenca Williams, daughter of Ritva Westenius, the renowned fashion designer specialising in bridal couture. Founded in 1977 Ritva has had shops in across London, including her boutique in Connaught Street.
Dawn Green, Founder and Creative Director of Kokoro London and Creative Visual Retail Consultant. The designer of knitwear label Hollygolightly is available in stores such as Brown’s and Liberty.
