We’re excited to welcome back Village in Green, a summer-long celebration of nature, creativity and community in Connaught Village, from 4 July to 31 August.
Following last year’s success, this year’s edition expands into an eight-week programme of culture, design and wellbeing, inviting visitors to slow down and enjoy a greener side of city life, moments from Hyde Park.
At the heart of the programme is Bonsai Treehouses, the debut summer exhibition from the Museum of Architecture, taking place in Oxford Square. Created in collaboration with curator Paolo Cocco and bonsai specialist Peter Warren, and from the team behind The Gingerbread City®, the showcase reimagines bonsai as living architecture, with miniature treehouses designed by leading architects, landscape architects and designers.
Alongside the exhibition, a series of hands-on workshops will invite visitors of all ages to design their own bonsai treehouses and discover the craft behind this centuries-old art form. Exhibition tickets are on sale now at museumofarchitecture.org, with workshop tickets coming soon.
Everyone is welcome to join us to celebrate the launch of Village in Green on Saturday 4 July, with live music, family-friendly activities and a special guest appearance to be revealed.
