Connaught Village is set to host the first-ever Connaught Village Art Month this October! The month-long celebration will bring a series of unique exhibitions, pop-ups, and events, showcasing both established and emerging talents from its renowned galleries, including Matt Carey-Williams, Dorothy Circus, CasildArt, and Lyon & Turnbull.

Connaught Village Art Month programme includes:

1. Connaught Village Art Panel with Time Out’s Eddy Frankel
Kicking off the month on 1 October, this engaging panel will explore the value of art in modern society, featuring artists, collectors, and gallerists, including Sukai Eccelston (CasildART), Nancy Durrant, and Tony Heywood. Free tickets are available here.

2. ‘Something for Everyone’ Pop-Up Store
A vibrant pop-up space featuring 15 artists from illustration agency EVERYONE. Browse and buy affordable prints, quirky gift cards, and handcraft glass Christmas decorations.

3. ‘Scene VI: Dean Fox’ at Matt Carey-Williams
Running from October 7th to November 15th, Dean Fox’s hallucinogenic paintings offer a deep dive into impressionism and the art of painting itself.

4. ‘Freedom in Multitudes’ at CasildART
This exhibition examines fluidity and freedom within Black culture, calling for nuanced depictions of Black identity. Presented in collaboration with The 1897 Gallery.

5. ‘Love in 3020’ by Nateepol at Dorothy Circus
Launching on October 24th, Nateepol explores themes of self-love and identity in a futuristic setting through his colourful, romantic acrylic paintings.

6. Lyon & Turnbull’s Jewellery Auction Viewing
Rare jewels, including antique gems and a Fabergé egg, will be on display ahead of Lyon & Turnbull’s prestigious auction.

7. Modern Art Valuation Day
On October 2nd, Lyon & Turnbull will offer complimentary valuations for modern, post-war, and contemporary artworks by appointment.

8. ‘Chroma-Viscosity II’ by Rob and Nick Carter
This AI-generated film reimagines the materiality of paint through a dynamic digital format, bridging traditional painting and modern technology.

9. Botanical Photography by Carrie Lees
A selection of Carrie Lees’ botanical photographs, inspired by the beauty of plants, will be on display, blending traditional and modern photography techniques.

10. Emma Kenny Exhibition at Purple Ski
Purple Ski will host a pop-up exhibition featuring works by Emma Kenny throughout October.

11. Designer clothing shop, Kokoro, will be exhibiting a collection of photography by New York Institute of Photography Alumni Mel Altshuler. With a background in advertising and fashion photography Altshuler has worked primarily in Canada but now resides in London.
